Boldi stainless steel cutlery set (Natálie Navrátilová)
Five years ago, the young Jan Fabini discovered a hole in the market: high-quality kitchenware for the medium-range segment – meaning pans which cost about 100 EUR and which are well-made and produced from quality materials. Although Fabini had to produce his first pieces in China, he soon managed to find investors and grow the firm further, and today, his internet store sells only Czech, French and Italian goods. In the first year of operations, the internet store had a turnover of about 300 000 EUR, but after five years, this increased to about 2,4 million EUR. The FABINI brand dazzled the jury largely with its consistent emphasis on design quality, as well as the marketing aspect. Apart from pans made of five-tiered stainless steel, FABINI now produces kitchenware and knives made of titanium, and has developed its own studio of in-house designers. Natálie Navrátilová has been a member of this studio since the beginning, and last year she designed the Boldi cutlery set made of brushed stainless steel. This set was awarded the prestigious Red Dot Award and the company even took the opportunity to write a press release about Natálie. The jury values the great design for the cutlery set as well as the brand’s exemplary conduct.
